The parish
dedicated to St. John The Baptist
was inaugurated on the 20th of June 1999. The Church building was
blessed by most Rev. Dr. Ignatius
Pinto, Archbishop of Bangalore.
The Carmelites are
entrusted with the spiritual up building of the parish and Rev.
Fr. P. James D’Souza, OCD
is appointed as the first Parish Priest on the 29th of August
1999. He held office till April 22nd, 2000.
On
April 23rd, 2000 Rev. Fr.
Walter Lobo, OCD took over the Parish
activities and he helped the people in their spiritual
journey till 31st August 2003. On the same day Rev.
Fr. Prasanna Kumar OCD took over the charge
and carried on the Parish activities till 5th June 2005.
From 6th June 2005 to 5th June 2011
Rev. Fr. John Lobo OCD
was
the Parish Priest. At present
Rev. Fr. John Baptist Pinto OCD
is actively involved in the Parish activities.

General Intention:
Contribution of Women.
That the whole world may recognize the contribution of women
to the development of society.
Missionary Intention:
Persecuted Christians.
That the Holy Spirit may grant perseverance to those who
suffer discrimination, persecution, or death for the name of
Christ, particularly in Asia.
