"Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in
them" (John 6:56).
It was the day of great joy and celebration to seven children of
our parish (Ashlyn Anderson, Sherin Marian Lobo, Sonal Pereira,
Anisha Christina C., Monisha Christina C., Nitya Valentina and
Antony Alwyn C.) . After a long preparation they were eagerly
waiting and longing for the Lord Jesus to enter into their
lives. The great moment of First Holy Communion took place
during the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration on the Feast Day of
Christ the King, which presided over by Fr. Patrick Pinto
(Diocesan Finance Administrator) and concelebrated by Fr. John
Pinto (Parish Priest) and Fr. Roshan D' Souza (Assistant Parish
Priest). The Presider himself preached a meaningful and inpiring
homily explaining in it the historical development of the
celebration of the feast of Christ the King and also highlighted
the importance of Holy Communion in the christian life. All the
liturgical readings were proclaimed and prayers were read by the
children. Hence during this solemn and meaningful Eucharistic
Celebration the children ate the flesh and drank the blood of
Jesus and for the first time abided with Jesus the Living Bread
of Life.
